| Since a few years, the poker boom is over
us – in case you hadn’t noticed. Everyone plays
poker; online
poker and/or live poker and mostly both, although rarely
at the same time. Before the boom you may have sat in a game
with some colleagues, playing with nickels on any rugged table.
There’s something you need to realize: this is not cool
anymore.
More and more now, live poker is played using high quality
props that enhance the experience quite a bit. One piece of
poker supplies that has become almost mandatory is nicely
colored poker chips. They make the betting much more fun and
also lend themselves perfectly to more or less advanced chip
tricks. If you want to lay a really top-notch home game, get
them customized, brandishing your initials or some other symbol
that represent your fine nature.
The pleasure of playing Texas
Holdem with great chips is not maximized if you must splash
them over a hard kitchen table. It’s not the right sound.
As a natural next step, you should look at some kind of poker
table. They come in all flavors, from heavy, custom built
poker tables in genuine wood to pliable table-tops or the
simple albeit very useful poker cloth that you roll up and
bring along to your friends’ place.
Except for fresh cards, dealer buttons and cool card protectors,
there’s one more thing within poker supplies you really
need to consider if you want to live the poker boom properly:
poker wear. What would it be like, sitting there in your friendly
poker
games with all these nice props, splashing customized
15 gram poker chips on a thick and dampening green felt, wearing
your old washed out t-shirt? It’s not what they call
‘living right’, is it?
